The Rougarou Baseball Club was founded in the Bossier City/Shreveport, LA area in the fall of 2019 and expanded into Softball in the fall of 2023. With exceptionally high organizational standards and a collaborative environment, our club is highly sought after and easily replicable in new markets with the right leadership and team.

Coach Travis Hatten
Founder
With a coaching career that began in 1987, Coach Travis Hatten brings a wealth of experience and a legacy of success to the Rougarou program. Renowned for his numerous championships, Travis currently serves as the General Manager of the Rawlings Tigers program. In this multifaceted role, he oversees staff management, program development, coaching, teaching baseball, customer service, regional program growth, player development, college resources, recruiting, and more.
Travis's relentless dedication to the club has established him as a tremendous asset to the Rougarou program. His deep involvement extends beyond coaching; he has been an active board member of Bossier Little League for over a decade and leverages a vast network of baseball contacts, both locally and nationally, cultivated from his playing days and his work in building the Rougarou.
This extensive experience and network have enabled Coach Hatten to assemble a top-tier coaching staff, positioning the Rougarou brand for continued success and future growth. His commitment to excellence and passion for the game make him a cornerstone for the Rougarou organization.
Coach Gary Moore
CFO / Founding Leader
Since starting his coaching career in 2012, Coach Gary Moore has leveraged his extensive experience in both playing and coaching across multiple sports to lead the Rougarou program with distinction. As the chief financial officer and founding leader of the Rougarou, Coach Gary brings a wealth of multi-sport championships and a comprehensive skill set to his role. He manages staff, oversees player sponsorship programs, coaches the 8U Coach pitch team and handles customer service, program growth, player development, coaching resources, recruiting, and much, much, more.
Coach Gary’s relentless dedication to the Rougarou make him a vital asset to our program. His commitment extends beyond coaching; he has spearheaded our community service and sponsorship outreach programs, utilizing a broad network of sports and business contacts both locally and nationally. Built from his extensive business experience and playing career, which plays a crucial role in the development and expansion of the Rougarou.

Whitney Carswell
Marketing Director
As the Director of Marketing Operations for the Rougarou Baseball and Softball Club, Mrs. Whitney Carswell plays a crucial role in the success of our organization. With exceptional organizational and administrative skills, Whitney manages all day-to-day marketing responsibilities with impressive efficiency.
Whitney’s customer-first approach and positive attitude shine through in everything she does. Her willingness to volunteer and her availability to help wherever needed make her an invaluable part of the Rougarou team. She is deeply involved in managing the website, coordinating uniforms, promoting programs, and handling player registrations.
A true people person, Whitney is passionate about her work and dedicated to creating a positive experience for everyone involved. The Rougarou is incredibly fortunate to have her as part of our organization. Coach David Wells
6 U T-Ball
Coach David Wells is going into his second year with the Rougarou, having made an impressive debut with our 6U T-Ball team. In his inaugural season, David not only launched the program but also led it to remarkable success, setting a high standard for player development and team performance.
Under Coach Wells' leadership, the Rougarou 2024 6U T-Ball team emerged as a dominant force in the league, culminating the season as the Bossier City Little League T-ball Champions. His dedication to nurturing young talent and instilling a genuine love for the game has been evident from his start with the Rougarou.
Coach Wells brings a dynamic combination of enthusiasm, growing expertise, and an unwavering passion for baseball to his role. His focus on baseball fundamentals and skills development ensures that each player has the opportunity to thrive both on and off the field. With his guidance, the 6U Rougarou team is poised for another successful season, continuing to build on the strong Rougarou foundation he has established.
Coach Paul Dupuy
7U T-Ball
Building on his impressive contributions to our 2024 6U T-ball championship team, Coach Paul Dupuy is set to lead our 7U group with the same passion and strategic vision that have defined his coaching career. With multiple years of coaching experience, Paul has demonstrated his ability to elevate teams and players, making him a key asset to the Rougarou.
Known for his visionary approach and clear strategic direction, Coach Dupuy has effectively charted a course for the team’s growth and success. He has surrounded himself with a top-notch coaching staff to execute this vision, ensuring that the Rougarou continues to thrive at every level.

Coach TJ
7U T-Ball
Coach TJ, who began his coaching journey just two years ago, has quickly made a significant impact on the Rougarou program. His inaugural season saw him lead his first team to an impressive undefeated record, setting a high bar for excellence. Most recently, Coach TJ played a crucial role in our 2024 6U T-ball championship.
With his wealth of experience and deep knowledge of the game, Coach TJ brings a high level of skill and expertise to the field. His ability to connect with players and impart fundamental skills has been instrumental to the success of our Rougarou players.

Coach David Hollis
12 U Girls Coach
A Louisiana Tech graduate and retired Air Force veteran, Coach David Hollis is in his second year with the Rougarou, stepping into his first year as a head coach with a deep commitment to excellence. Known for setting high standards for player development and team performance, Coach Dave has quickly made his mark on the ROU Softball program.
Coach Dave's dedication to expanding his softball knowledge and nurturing young female talent is evident in his coaching approach. His polite and poised personality, combined with his relentless pursuit of improvement, has been instrumental in his success as an assistant coach and now as a head coach.
Bringing a blend of leadership, enthusiasm, strategic insight, and a profound passion for softball, Coach Dave focuses on fundamental skills and positive reinforcement. His approach creates a thriving environment for young players, both on and off the field. As he continues to champion softball and girls' sports, David looks forward to furthering his journey with the Rougarou softball program and inspiring the next generation of softball stars.
